since my profile view counter on myspace has been stuck for a week or more I decided to put my own on my profile page, just to see if anyone is viewing my page, so last evening when I signed off I had 55 views, and when I checked this morning it was up to 8600 (not kidding)! I did notice that if I refresh the page or look at my profile it goes up by one. Has anyone installed their own counter and do those things actually work?
I know it's a strange question, but was just wondering, because I think I am going to uninstall it.

no it usually just does that to make it look like you have lots of profile views.
