Does it count by unique user? Example, someone stays logged in and views your profile 10 times before logging out. Does that count as 10 views or 1?

Yes. That is counted as 10 views. People who are not logged in that view your profile are also counted as a "view". The only time is isn't counted is when you yourself visit your own profile.

Kevin, I am curious how you did your tests.

Because we may have tested using different methods, and knowing exactly what you did could be a clue to what is going on. I don't doubt that you got the results you claim, I am just curious what exactly you did.

I have often suspected that myspace does not count as multiple visits, multiples from the same computer within some time frame, but I don't know the time frame, nor do I think it is consistent.

I just did some testing.

It did NOT increase the number when I refreshed, or even when I went out to another page and then came back.

It did not increase again when I opened a new window.

It DID increase again when I switched to a different browser (from FF to IE) but then did not increase again when I opened the page again in a new IE window.

I did all of this from another computer while logged in as a different user or not logged in at all.

However, there have been times, when I was testing, and I make a copy of the page, do my edits, and then run the code outside of myspace (but require that it access myspace as it runs), I notice my counters going up multiple times.

I am curious what other people's test results show, when running similar tests.
