I cant watch the youtube video on my myspace?

i added a youtube video to my myspace page (i've also tried myspace videos) and everytime i view my profile, the video never shows up. i think i'm doing everything right. this is what ive done.

1. get the embeded code

2. paste the code into a section from the edit section

3.click preview profile [ the video shows up]

4. click save all changes

5. viewed profile [ no video shows up.]

I don't know what i'm doing wrong.

What section are you putting it in to? As far as I know, most MySpace sections let you put the embed code in them but there may be a couple that don't.

Also I noticed the embed code that you copy has extra stuff that doesn't need to be there.

Example:

%26lt;object width="425" height="350"%26gt;%26lt;param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YoUvWi9v... name="wmode" value="transparent"%26gt;%26lt;/param%26gt;%26lt;embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YoUvWi9vUJ... type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"%26gt;%26lt;/embed%26gt;%26lt;/object%26gt;

You can trim the code so that it looks like:

%26lt;param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YoUvWi9v... name="wmode" value="transparent"%26gt;%26lt;/param%26gt;%26lt;embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YoUvWi9vUJ... type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"%26gt;

I honestly don't know if that will fix it or not but maybe the extra code is preventing the video from showing up?

Are you using a custom layout for your page, as well? That cound be interfering with it.
